I try to avoid the spotlight. I don’t like it, I don’t feel comfortable when I’m in it but I know how to behave when I’m there.
I’m the mastermind behind the crime. I’m not a puppeteer. I don’t make people do as I want.
I think of myself as a leader, as a director, as a photographer. I’m the guy who takes the picture and is not inside the frame. I’m the guy that if missing there would be no photography at all. My job is to put everything in place so when the shutter closes, everyone has a nice, honest smile on their faces.
I look at the picture and I cannot find myself. I’m not in the photograph, but then again… I shouldn’t be there.
